Moka Surfhouse & Yoga Retreat
Moka surfhouse is located in a really nice Portuguese villa with a large garden a little bit outside of Ericeira. And if you like to do both yoga and surf this is a great option.
Most people that stayed at Moka surfhouse really loved it, especially for the welcoming atmosphere. Considering that they have 117 out of 120 5-star review on Tripadvisor, you can be pretty sure that you are going to have a great experience at Mocca.
Since the owners of Mocca are Italian, you also know that it’s not going to be a shortage of delicious food. Breakfast is included every day and dinner is included half of the week. Which is perfect if you are keen on sampling some of the great restaurants in Ericera.
Lot's of Yoga At Moka Surfhouse
The packages at Moka surfhouse normally includes more yoga than surfing. So if you are more serious about the surfing than the yoga for your surf camp in Ericeira, this may not be your number one choice .
Another downfall with Moka is that it’s pretty far from town and the beaches (40 min walking to closest beach and more than an hour to town). So if you like to party, or like the possibility of strolling into Ericeira, it’s not an optimal choice. However, since taxis and Ubers are very affordable, this will probably not be a huge issue.
If you on the other hand are interested in staying in a peaceful surrounding were you can focus on yoga, and try out some surfing, Moka will surely be a great place for you.
Hostel & Ericeira Surfcamp 55
Hostel & Surfcamp 55 is centrally located next to the city center of Ericiera and they offer various surf camp packages.
As can be seen by the name, the accommodation is both a surf camp and a hostel. Thus it’s not unlikely that it will be a mix of regular guests and surf camp guests staying at the property. So if you are looking for a pure surf camp vibe, this may not be your number one option. With this said however, most people really like the surf camps here. And the hostel in itself is also highly appreciated.
If you are interested in a mixed surf and yoga camp, Surfcamp 55 has one package with yoga lessons, however the yoga lessons are in a yoga studio separate from the camp. So it will be more like a surf camp where you also take a few yoga classes, instead of a proper yoga/surf retreat.
Intensive Surf Packages
Surfcamp 55 also offers different intensive surf packages with lots of surf lessons included. So if you are looking to surf and improve as much as possible these packages are great options.
According to a lot of people both the staff and the surf teachers at 55 are really friendly and helpful and the surf lessons are a lot of fun. However, some people also pointed out that the lessons could need some more structure and theory. And that they especially were lacking some more technical lessons for intermediate surfers.
Thus if you are a beginner looking the get as much surf lessons in as possible to a great price, this is a great option.
Omassims – Surf and Yoga Retreat in Ericeira
Located in the outskirts of Ribamar next to Ericeira, Omassim is a perfect guesthouse for a yoga and surf retreat. And according to basically all its visitors, it also offers the perfect surf and yoga retreat. On tripadvisor 154 out of 157 reviewers gave it the highest rating and the three that didn’t give it the highest, gave it the second highest.
Since we personally have been taking yoga classes in Omassim, we are happy to confirm that it is an amazing place. The pool together with the view of the rolling green hills gives the place a special feeling of tranquility.
Choose Your Perfect Mix Between Surf and Yoga
When it comes to the retreat schedule, Omassim offers two different kind of packages. One with ten yoga classes and 5 surf classes. The other one with an equal amount of 5 surf and 5 yoga classes. So if you really want to focus on the yoga aspect of the retreat you have the opportunity.
If you on the other hand want to have time over for more surfing or to explore the surroundings, the five plus five package should be great. Both packages are also full board, meaning that they according to the reviews include some amazing vegetarian food.
If you are an enthusiastic meat eater looking for a pure surf camp in Ericeira or a party type of crowd, Omassim is probably not for you. But if you on the other hand are looking for an amazing and relaxing yoga and surf retreat, there’s no need to look any further.
Arthouse Bed and Breakfast – Budget Surf and Fun Holiday or 7 Days Unique Surf and Yoga Retreat
Arthouse bed and Breakfast is located in Ericeira hills, 10-15 min walk to the old city center and local beaches. As it’s a small place, it provides a really nice family type of atmosphere, that will make you feel at home. The house is also beautifully decorated with pop art. But one of the best things of the place is probably the amazing ocean view from the terrace.
According to most reviews Camilla who runs the place is a great host. However, some people also found that she lacked a bit of organization. Which is understandable since she normally only has help from one volunteer.
An Amazing Time and an Amazing Breakfast
Since the place is a hostel, it may not provide you with the 100 % surf camp atmosphere. But regardless of this, most people who joined their surf camps, had an amazing time.
The arthouse offers two packages. One with just 5 surf lessons and one with 5 surf and yoga lessons. Included in the package are also (according to previous guests) an amazing breakfast.
As there have been different reports regarding whether you can use the kitchen or not, you should send a message and make sure if you’re planning on cooking.

As we’re writing this The Salty Pelicans yoga retreat and surf camp in Ericeira is brand new. Thus this means that the property and facilities are immaculate. However, it also means that it does experience some minor infancy problems. But regardless of this, they have already managed to rake up a lot of great reviews. So they are definitely already doing a lot of things right.
Take a Dip in The Pool and Enjoy an Amazing Ocean View
Located in the hills just above the bus terminal in Ericeira, it is a steep walk to reach it by foot, but it’s still really centrally located. Just a short stroll and you are among the cobble stoned streets of the old Ericeira city center. Add a few more minutes and your feet will sink down in the sand of the Pescadores beach.
For the warm days you don’t need to walk any further than a few m to take a dip in the pool of the surf camp. Together with the amazing sea view from the property, this makes it the perfect spot for a yoga and surf holiday away from your every day life.
In their 8 day package they offer 11 yoga lessons and 5 surf lessons plus daily breakfast.
