Villa Ana Margarida Hotel Ericeira

Everything you need to know before making your reservation

What is Villa Ana Margarida Hotel Ericeira?

Villa Ana Margarida Hotel is a lovely furnished boutique hotel. Its located in an old house, but the hotel has been renovated to modern-day standards. The marine-themed decorations have plenty of nods to Portugal’s seafaring history and to the earlier inhabitants of the building.

The location is perfect, right in the old part of the village, great for exploring Ericeira’s charming alleys and seafood restaurants. And when you want to relax on the beach, Praia dos Pescadores is only a three-minute walk from the hotel.

The members of the staff at the hotel are welcoming and charming. The rooms are clean with comfortable beds and equipped with flat screens TV’s. It’s a small hotel, only 10 rooms, so the experience is personal. The rooms on the third floor are preferable, since they are less prone to street noise and they come with small balconies.

A spiral staircase leads to a roof terrace, perfect for enjoying the view over Ericeira. Just bring a glass of port wine when it’s time for the sunset.

Potential Flaws of the Hotel

Since the hotel is located in the middle of town it can be a bit noisy, even though the windows are sound isolated.

Worth to note is that the bathroom is in the room, with only frosted glass as diversion in between. For some guest this was a bit of an uncomfortable surprise.

Parking can be difficult to find close to the hotel. And there are no facilities for making coffee or tea in the rooms.
